Building preparedness and resilience for a safer tomorrow.
To strengthen community-based disaster preparedness, response, and recovery mechanisms, with a focus on early warning systems, resilient infrastructure, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Promoting lifelong learning and school safety for every child.
To enhance lifelong learning, including disaster education and school safety, for children, adolescents, and adults from marginalized communities.

Ensuring quality health and SRHR services for healthy lives.
To improve availability of comprehensive healthcare services, including emergency health response during and after disasters, with a focus on vulnerable populations.

Advocating rights, justice and dignity for everyone.
To promote human rights and social justice, including gender-responsive DRR, and to advocate for the protection of marginalized people in disaster contexts.

Promoting green skills and decent livelihoods that last.
To support sustainable livelihoods by building community capacities, promoting green practices, and facilitating skills development for decent employment that can withstand climate and disaster shocks.

Ensuring food security and social protection for vulnerable people.
To strengthen community-based resilience mechanisms to reduce hunger, malnutrition, and poverty through disaster-resilient food systems and integrated social protection interventions.

Promoting informed, safer migration and action against trafficking.
BRED has been involved in safe migration promotion since 2012 and serves as the Secretariat of the Bangladesh Migration Forum. Its work includes awareness, training, networking and grassroots engagement to promote safer migration and contribute to anti-trafficking efforts.

Expanding renewable energy and lower-emission household practices.
Since 2010, BRED has worked on solar power in remote and char areas and has promoted Improved Cook Stoves, known locally as Bondhu Chula, alongside partnership-based renewable-energy delivery.

Improving safe water, sanitation and hygiene in vulnerable communities.
BRED has implemented water supply and sanitation programmes in different project areas, including sanitation coverage and flood rehabilitation work related to water and sanitation in Pabna.

Providing practical support during disasters, hardship and emergencies.
BRED has conducted relief activities in Pabna, Tangail and Dhaka, including food and clothing support, assistance for persons with disabilities, and emergency relief during floods, COVID-19 and other adverse situations.
