This health project titled ‘Improving Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescents Health (SRMNCAH)’ from February 2023 to till now is supported by CORE Group USA. BRED is aiming with the four broader level of outcomes are to

  1. Strengthen Community capacity and skills towards attaining improved health, rights and entitlements for SRMNCAH
  2. Strengthen capacity of LGIs towards becoming pro-active and responsive to community demands
  3. Develop Linkage and establishment of the community with different stakeholders’ service providers, service facilities.
  4. Develop capacity of the staff towards understanding and implementation of the project. The project is addressing the age-old problems of women and girls in Bangladesh. From time immemorial, girls have been married at an early age and this is embedded with dowry, divorce and torture.

BRED is also initiating the early marriage and pregnancy of adolescent girls because these create severe problems to their health. Maternal and child mortality is another factor that is related with this problem. The project will yield results, i.e. It will lay impact on the women and girls’ knowledge, behavior, practice and service provisions of the government. Overall, the project will help reduce trend in early marriage, dowry practice, reduction on maternal as well as child mortality, morbidity.
